Kadwa Election Result 2025 Live: JD(U)'s Abhishek Anand Leads, RJD’s Sushil Kumar Trails In Tight Contest
The counting of votes for the Kadwa Assembly seat in Katihar district is underway, and latest trends indicate a neck-to-neck contest between the two major contenders.
As per the latest figures, Abhishek Anand of the Janata Dal United has taken a narrow lead with 62375 votes, while RJD candidate Sushil Kumar is close behind with 60898 votes, trailing by just 1477 votes. The fight in Kadwa has become one of the closest battles in the Seemanchal region.
The constituency, which falls under the Katihar Lok Sabha seat, has witnessed multi-party participation this year with JD(U), RJD and the Jan Suraaj Party putting up candidates.
Although BJP, AAP and BSP are not in the top three in this seat at the moment, their presence has played a role in shaping the voter distribution in this closely watched contest.
In third position is Mritunjay Kumar of the Jan Suraaj Party with 20303 votes, far behind the leading JD(U) and RJD nominees. The narrow gap between the top two contenders suggests that the outcome will depend on the last few rounds of counting.
Historically, Kadwa has seen representatives from the Congress, BJP, NCP and independent candidates, along with recent influence from JD(U) and RJD. This year’s contest continues the tradition of unpredictable and competitive elections in this constituency.
