Rupauli Election Result 2025 Live: JD(U)’s Kaladhar Prasad Mandal Dominates, RJD’s Bima Bharti Trails
The Rupauli Assembly constituency in Purnia district is witnessing a decisive shift as vote counting continues. According to the latest trends, Kaladhar Prasad Mandal of the Janata Dal United JD (U) has taken a commanding lead with 24035 votes, establishing a massive margin of 16268 votes over his closest rival.
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) candidate Bima Bharti, a well-known face in Rupauli politics and a former MLA, is currently in second place with 7767 votes. Her attempts to close the gap have not gained momentum, and the margin continues to widen as counting progresses.
Independent candidate Shankar Singh, who has held influence in this region in earlier elections, stands in third place with 4980 votes, trailing far behind the frontrunners. The contest, which initially appeared competitive, is increasingly tilting in favour of JD(U).
Rupauli, a politically vibrant constituency under the Purnia Lok Sabha seat, covers the Rupauli and Bhawanipur blocks along with several panchayats of Barhara Kothi. Over the years, the seat has seen representatives from the CPI, Congress, JD(U), RJD, LJP and strong independent candidates, making it one of the more unpredictable constituencies in the region.
The 2025 contest, however, is showing clear signs of a one-sided result as JD(U)’s strong lead continues to solidify.
