Birla Group's Kumar Mangalam Birla Announces BITS AI Plus Campus In Andhra Pradesh

Aditya Birla Group Chairman and BITS Chancellor Kumar Mangalam Birla has announced the establishment of a state-of-the-art BITS AI Plus Campus in Andhra Pradesh. The new initiative, as per reports, aims to redefine higher education in India by creating a specialised centre focused on Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies.

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu welcomed the announcement, calling it a “bold step” towards transforming the educational landscape. “This first-of-its-kind campus will be a world-class centre for Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies,” he wrote on social media, thanking Birla for his vision.

The AI Plus Campus will house advanced programmes in AI, Data Science, Robotics, Cyber-Physical Systems, and Computational Linguistics. It will also offer international exposure and hands-on industry internships, making it a global model of future-oriented education.

Naidu emphasised the broader impact of the initiative, stating that the campus would shape “India’s brightest minds” and provide access to the full spectrum of transformative technologies. He expressed confidence that the institution would produce leaders for India and the world, firmly positioning Andhra Pradesh as a nerve centre for innovation-driven education.

With BITS Pilani already recognised as a premier institute, the AI Plus Campus is expected to expand its legacy into new domains of learning and research.
