CBSE Results 2025: Why Board Does Not Release Dates In Advance These Days
Contrary to the viral social media posts and media reports, the Central Board of Examination (CBSE) has confirmed that the results of Class 10 and 12 will not be released today. Officials have stated that the result dates have not confirmed yet.
However, it is expected that the Class 10 and 12 results will be announced between May 1 and May 10, 2025.

Unlike many of the state boards that announce their exam result date in advance, CBSE typically refrains from doing so. While it is believed that this process aims to prevent misinformation and reduce anxiety among students and parents, there are also reports that the move is intended to manage website traffic effectively and avoid server disruptions caused by sudden surges in users. By withholding the exact date of the results announcement, the central board can make sure that the website remains stable and accessible to all. For the past 6 years, CBSE has consistently announced the board exam results of Class 10 and 12 without prior notice.
Many had even appreciated the sudden declaration of the results as a positive move in past instances. Earlier in 2012, when the results of the Class 10 in the Chennai region were announced without prior notice, CBSE Chairman Vineet Joshi at that time had stated that there is no secrecy in declaring the results and considered the sudden declaration as a good move.
This year, 24.12 lakh CBSE Class 10 students took exams in 84 subjects and 17.88 lakh CBSE Class 12 students took exams across 120 subjects.
