IIT Kanpur Launches eMasters Programme In Renewable Energy And e-MobilityThe Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) has introduced unique eMasters degree programme in Renewable Energy and e-Mobility. The programme was designed by the Department of Sustainable Energy Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. The objective behind the course is to foster an efficient and highly skilled workforce commit towards environmental responsibility. The GATE score is not needed for application.
This is an executive-friendly degree programme, does not require GATE score for application and candidates can pursue it without pausing their professional careers. Besides, the flexibility of time period offers 1-3 years for the completion of the programme.
The course helps to assemble new opportunities since the world is favoring shift from fossil fuels, curbing carbon emissions, and combating climate change. Further, it enables to reach innovative and eco-friendly solutions.
“The program is tailored to expose the professionals to various technological aspects of this shift, including the generation side sources like photovoltaics, wind, batteries, hydrogen and the very fast-growing Electrical Vehicle domain. These twin forces of renewable Energy and e-mobility collectively drive innovation, reduce reliance on non-renewable resources, and foster a greener, more resilient world, addressing environmental and economic imperatives,” Institute said in a statement.
Through live interactive weekend classes offered by eminent faculty and accomplished researchers from IIT K and via self-paced learning, the programme promises high-impact learning experience. The industry-relevant programme curated in 60-credit curriculum grants seamless credit transfers towards higher education opportunities like MTech and PhD programmes at the institute. Furthermore, candidates also receives exclusive access to IIT Kanpur’s incubation cell and extensive alum network, for their career advancement and networking prospects. The immersive learning journey also facilitates opportunity to candidates to visit the campus and interact with faculty members and professionals.
The cutting-edge eMasters degree programme is set to begin in January 2024, and have attracted over 600 professionals. The institute informs that participants will be awarded formal Senate-approved degrees.
