However, considering the escalating situation and factoring in the well-being of students, JMI has decided to conduct the admission tests for the students of Jammu and Kashmir separately.

“This is being done to provide an opportunity to those students from J&K who have applied but are not able to attend the admission tests scheduled on May 10-11, 2025. However, for the remaining students, the admission tests will be held on the given dates and times (May 10-11, 2025)”, the university said.

Notably, after the escalating tension, Jammu and Kashmir has been under a complete blackout since May 8, 2025. A swarm of drones is being launched by Pakistan’s side, and continuous sirens are heard in several districts in Jammu and Kashmir. Evacuation plans are carried out in several districts, which has caused a large-scale displacement of people.
