UGC - NET December 2024 Online Application Submission Portal Is Open Now
The UGC-NET December 2024 online application portal is open for form submission. Candidates can apply for the UGC – NET December 2024 through the “Online” mode only through the official website – ugcnet.nta.ac.in. The application form submission link has become active from November 19, 2024, and the last date to submit the form is December 10, 2024.
The Application Form in any other mode will not be accepted. Candidates are not allowed to fill out more than one Application Form.
NTA has been entrusted by the University Grants Commission (UGC) with the task of conducting UGC-NET, which is a test to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for (i) ‘award of Junior Research Fellowship and appointment as Assistant Professor’, (ii)‘appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to Ph.D.’ and (iii)‘admission to Ph.D. only’ in Indian universities and colleges.

UGC-NET December 2024: Important dates
- Submission of Online Application Form – 19 November 2024 to 10 December 2024 (up to 11:50 P.M)
- Last date for submission of Examination fee (through Credit Card/ Debit Card/Net Banking /UPI) – 11 December 2024 (up to 11:50 P.M)
- Date of Examination – 01 January 2025 to 19 January 2025
The examination center city, admit card download date, date and shift of the examination will be announced by the NTA later.
The application fee for the general or unreserved category candidates is Rs 1150, for General EWS/OBC-NCL is Rs 600, and for SC/ST/PwD, and for the third gender candidates is Rs 300.
In the notification issued for the UGC-NET December 2024 exam, UGC said, “Candidates must strictly follow the instructions given in the Information Bulletin available on the NTA website. Candidates not complying with the instructions shall be summarily disqualified”.

“Candidates must ensure that the e-mail address and Mobile Number provided in the Online Application Form are their own or Parents/Guardians only, as all information/ communication will be sent by NTA through e-mail on the registered e-mail address or SMS on the registered Mobile Number only”, said UGC.
