Bollywood actor Ayushman Khurrana posted a series of photos and videos of his wife, Tahira Kashyap on World Cancer Day commenting on her resilience. The post symbolizes how the couples stood for each other through challenges in their 16 years of marriage. 

Tahira Kashyap was diagnosed with stage ‘0’ breast cancer in 2018. She had to undergo a mastectomy procedure and later she triumphed over the disease. Appreciating his wife’s indomitable spirit and resilience, the actor shared a heartfelt post showcasing snapshots of their journey. 

The post begins with a stunning mirror selfie of the couple followed by a photo of Tahira flaunting her surgery scar. The third pic is of Tahira sporting an orange t-shirt. The post ends with a video of the resilient lady doing exercise. Ayushman posting the pic, wrote, “The girl I pulled by having samosa and chai at hut number 14 in Panjab University. All the best for your debut at the @spokenfest today. In love with your heart and spirit @tahirakashyap #WorldCancerDay”.

Tahira was diagnosed with cancer in 2018. Sharing the news on Instagram, she wrote, “I was detected with DCIS (ductal carcinoma in situ) in my right breast with high-grade malignant cells. Simply put stage 0 cancer/pre-cancerous stage, with cancer cells multiplying in a contained area. This mastectomy has left me with even more self-love! Mine has made me a 2.0 version of myself! This post is dedicated to awareness, self-love and resilience of a warrior that I know each one of us possesses.”

World Cancer is an international day marked on February 4 to raise awareness of cancer, the day serves as a beacon of hope, severing the misconception that exists in the society. The global community unites in a collective effort to overcome the stigma often associated with cancer care.
