Influencer Khalid Al Ameri, Acress Sunaina To Get Hitched Soon? What Do We Know
Social media is buzzing with news that Dubai-based famous influencer Khalid Al Ameri is reportedly engaged to South Indian actress Sunaina. All the buzz started when, on June 5, Sunaina posted a photo of two hands holding each other with a lock emoji, hinting at her engagement without revealing her fiancée’s identity. The rumours grew when Khalid Al Ameri liked this post, and on June 26, he posted a similar photo featuring a diamond ring on the woman’s finger. This has caused the rumour mills to go full throttle assuming their engagement.
Today, the influencer’s former wife, Salama Mohamed, disclosed on NourAldin Alyousuf’s YouTube channel that she and Khalid had finalized their divorce on February 14. Khalid Al Ameri, a Stanford graduate, and Salama were a popular influencer couple in the Middle East, amassing millions of followers with their heart-warming videos about family, love and mutual respect.
Reports suggest Khalid and Sunaina may marry this year. Khalid is currently in Chennai, as indicated by a recent Instagram status about a meet-up at a local restaurant. He is friends with Chennai-based YouTuber Irfan and attended Irfan’s wedding in 2023, expressing his love for Chennai in a heartfelt post. Khalid frequently visits Chennai and participates in events, as seen on his Instagram. He has also been interviewing numerous Indian celebrities, including Mammootty.
In her interview with NourAldin Alyousuf, Salama did not detail the reasons behind the split but shared her feelings towards her former husband, saying, “He is the father of my kids; there’s always a connection there, maybe an ethereal connection. His happiness affects my happiness. His success affects my success. I always pray for him.” She added, “With all my heart, I pray for him with love and happiness because if he is happy, we are happy. At the end of the day, if he is happy, my kids are happy.”
Reflecting on the divorce, Salama said she felt the safest in her life in 2024, the year of her divorce. She remarked, “The day I got divorced, I was reborn. Sometimes divorce is merciful.”
This interview follows Khalid Al Ameri’s apparent engagement announcement, where he posted a black-and-white photo of himself holding his fiancée’s hand, captioning it “Alhumdulilah” (“thank God” in Arabic).
