By the third day of release, Coolie had become a hot topic across X, Facebook, and YouTube reviews. A section of viewers called it “a below-average outing from Lokesh” and felt the director leaned too heavily on fan service while neglecting emotional depth.

Another moviegoer took to social media to defend Coolie against its critics, saying that negative reviews should not be believed. They felt the film was “so good” and argued that if Jailer could emerge a hit, then Coolie too deserves to be called a blockbuster. Calling it “only for Thalaivar,” the fan praised Rajinikanth’s screen presence and lauded director Lokesh Kanagaraj, adding that the filmmaker had “said it very well.”
