Karthi Teams Up With Kalyani Priyadarshan For Pan-Indian Epic "Marshal"
Following the phenomenal success of blockbuster films such as Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru and Kaithi, acclaimed Tamil actor Karthi is once again teaming up with director Thamizh, best known for his critically acclaimed film Thanneer. Karthi will be seen opposite popular Malayalam actor Kalyani Priyadarshan, who plays the female lead.
Their latest venture, titled Marshal, is a grand-scale period action drama, and the official pooja (inaugural ceremony) of the film was held recently in Chennai with much fanfare.

Marshal is being produced as a pan-Indian film through a collaboration between Dream Warrior Pictures and IVY Entertainments, two banners known for backing content-driven, high-quality cinema.

Set in the backdrop of Rameswaram during the 1960s, the film promises to be a visual spectacle, with massive sets meticulously recreated to bring the era to life. The project has been envisioned as a big-budget period film that aims to blend historical elements with action, drama, and emotional depth.
This marks a notable collaboration, especially as Kalyani continues to make appearances across South Indian cinema. The supporting cast boasts an ensemble of seasoned performers, including Sathyaraj, Prabhu, Lal, John Kokken, and Easwari Rao, all of whom are expected to play pivotal roles in the narrative.

Editing is handled by Philomin Raj, known for his sharp and engaging cuts in several recent hits. Acclaimed production designer Arun Venjaramoodu has been brought on board to recreate the vintage ambience of 1960s Rameswaram with authenticity and grandeur.
Designed as a pan-India release, Marshal will hit theatres in five major Indian languages — Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi — thereby aiming to reach a wide and diverse audience across the country. The film’s public relations are managed by Pratheesh Shekhar.
