Netflix's Curry & Cyanide: The Jolly Joseph Case Trailer Out

The trailer of Curry & Cyanide: The Jolly Joseph Case is released on Wednesday. The true-crime documentary delves into the infamous Koodathayi Cyanide killings case which took place in Koodathayi village in Kerala”s Kozhikode district. The film is directed by National Award winner Christo Tomy and written by Shalini Ushadevi.

Curry & Cyanide: The Jolly Joseph Case recounts the story of a woman named Jolly Joseph, who alleged of conducting the cyanide poisoning of six family members, including a two-year-old child, over a period of 14 years. Netflix describes it as “the horrifying story of lies and poison.”

“According to the makers, the documentary, through firsthand testimonials, aims to expose ‘the stark contrast between Jolly Joseph’s public image and the sinister truth lurking beneath,’ reports The Hindu.

The film has been produced India Today Originals , their third production, and first documentary feature. Their first production ‘Indian Predator – Diary of a Serial Killer (Season II)’, and second production, ‘Dancing on the Grave’, is streaming on Netflix and Amazon Prime respectively.

Curry & Cyanide: The Jolly Joseph Case will premiere on Netflix on December 22. The series will be available in Malayalam, Hindi and English.
