At Least 18 Killed As Tembo Traveller Rams Into Trailer In Rajasthan's Phalodi
In a tragic incident on Sunday, a Tembo Traveller carrying pilgrims rammed into a stationary trailer in the Matoda area of Phalodi district in Rajasthan.
The incident occurred when the uncontrolled tempo traveller collided head-on with a truck near Matoda village.
At least 18 people lost their lives and several others were critically injured during the unfortunate crash. All victims were residents of Mathania.
The pilgrims, purportedly members of the Mali community from Sursagar in Jodhpur, were returning after visiting the Kolayat Temple in Bikaner.
According to the reports, 18 people lost their lives on the spot. The injured were first given primary medical care at a nearby health centers.
The accident took place when the tempo traveller, heading back to Jodhpur, crashed into a parked trailer on the roadside near Matoda village, as per the police officials.
The massive crash destroyed the front portion of the traveller, leaving the passengers trapped.
