Fact-Checker Mohammed Zubair Accuses BJP Leader Of Voting in Bihar Using Active Uttarakhand ID

New Delhi: Fact-checker Mohammed Zubair has accused BJP leader Prabhat Kumar, Uttarakhand’s social media in-charge, of voting in Bihar assembly elections held on November 6, 2025, while his voter ID remains active in Dehradun, Uttarakhand.

In a social media post, Zubair shared the BJP leader’s vote ID showing EPIC number from Uttarakhand is still active. “We found his EPIC number details using the background of his picture when he voted in 2024. It says ‘Sanatan Dharma Inter College, Racecourse road, Dehradun. His father’s name matches,” the Alt New Co-founder noted in an X post.

“Found his EPIC number from Bihar too (But will share it after reconfirming)” the fact-checker pointed out, asking, how can a person who has voter ID from Dehradun, Uttarakhand come and vote in Bihar? “The Election Commission of India has a lot to answer,” he added.

Zubair pointed out that the BJP leader casted vote on November 8 in Bihar. On January 23, he voted  in Uttarakhand during Dehradun Municipal Corporation election and on April 19, he voted in Uttarakhand during Lok Sabha Election.

“On 14th Feb, 2022, He voted in Uttarakhand during Assembly Election.  On 11th April, 2019, he voted in Uttarakhand during Lok Sabha Election.  On 18th Nov, 2018, he voted in Uttarakhand during Dehradun Municipal Corporation election,” Zubair stated while sharing the BJP leader’s social media post showing him after casting the votes.

He also shared several other pictures in which Prabhat Kumar was seen voting in Bihar and Uttarakhand several times for different elections.  Zubair’s revelation comes amid opposition protests over alleged duplicate voters and electoral roll manipulations in Bihar’s two-phase polls, with Phase 2 set for November 11 and results on November 23.
