Lipi Rastogi, 27, daughter of senior bureaucrat couple died of suicide. She committed suicide by jumping from the 10^th floor of her housing society in Mumbai. The incident happened today around 4 am, said police.

Lipi is the daughter of Radhika and Vikas Rastogi. Though she rushed to hospital, she succumbed to death upon reaching the hospital. The police recovered note from her room. Officials said the probe is under way to ascertain the reason behind the act.

Vikas Rastogi is the Principal Secretary, Maharashtra Education Department, Radhika Rastogi is the Principal Secretary at the state’s Home Department.

According to NDTV, Lipi has been anxious about her performance in exam. She was a LLB student in Sonepat, Haryana.

Police officer said that the incident took place when everyone at the IAS officers’ housing society was sleeping. “The locals informed the family, after which she was rushed to GT Hopsital, where she was declared dead before admission”, said on officer, as quoted by media report.

Reportedly, the Cuffe Parade police have filed an accidental death report and are investigating to ascertain if there was any foul play.
