India’s Parliament will have its Budget Session from January 31 to April 4. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Union Budget 2025-26 on February 1, 2025, in the Lok Sabha, marking her eighth consecutive budget presentation. The entire session will have 27 meetings.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju took to X to announce that President Droupadi Murmu has approved summoning both Houses of Parliament for the Budget Session 2025 from January 31 to April 4.
President Droupadi Murmu will address the joint sitting of both Houses of Parliament at the commencement of the Budget Session 2025.

In his post, Rijiju stated that the President will address the joint sitting of both Houses on January 31 at 11 am in the Lok Sabha.
The Hon’ble President of India Smt Droupadi Murmu ji on the recommendation of the Government of India, has approved summoning both Houses of Parliament for the Budget Session 2025 from 31st January 2025 to 4th April 2025 (subject to exigencies of parliamentary business).
