Thailand's Phuket Airport Closes After Air India Express Flight Makes Chaotic Landing; Plane Damaged
Phuket, Thailand: In another trouble for Air India Express, the airline has made a hard emergency landing at Phuket International Airport in Thailand, leaving the aircraft’s nose and front landing gear damaged significantly.
The Phuket airport has closed its runway following the incident. The flight from India’s Hyderabad sustained damage, and fortunately, all 133 passengers were safely evacuated, and no injuries were reported.

The dust and smoke were seen rising from the rear side of the plane during the hard landing, sparking fears of major accident.
One of the busiest airport, the closure significantly affect the air traffic in the popular tourist destination. The operation standstill at the Thai island’s main gateway on Wednesday morning disrupted several survives to the South East nation. Phuket is Thailand’s largest island, which handles more than 17million passengers each year.
