A video clip of a court proceeding has surfaced on social media platforms. In the clip, a Karnataka High Court judge can be seen conversing with lawyers. He begins by referring to the Mysuru Road flyover, where he points out that every passing autorickshaw carries ten people.
While the judge observes a safety issue of auto sharing prevalent among daily wage workers and poor people who find it affordable, it is his remarks that follow the statement that shook netizens.

“It is not applicable because the Mysuru flyover until up to the market from Goripalya is a, is in Pakistan, not in India,” remarks the high court judge with a smirk. Goripalya is a sublocality in Padarayana Pura in Central Bengaluru.
Calling a Muslim-dominated area in Bengaluru Pakistan, the judge adds, “This is the reality. This is the reality.”
The video, now with over 124.8 thousand views, has triggered several netizens criticising the remarks made by the High Court judge.

One X user points out that while five-six people sharing an auto should not be encouraged, it is “extremely unbecoming” of a judge to make such remarks. “This is how systemic dehumanisation of Indian Muslims look like where even the ones who’re supposed to uphold the law, dehumanize Indian Muslims,” the X user highlighted.

Another X user expresses their shock at the comments made by the judge, “Unfit to be a Judge. These are the words from a judge is shocking.”
Calling for strict action against the judge, an X user states, “This Judge should be made to step down & put in his papers immediately. He is unfit to continue as a Judge. He has to be forcibly retired. This will send a strong message to all the Judges in the country.”
