SSC CGL 2024 Application Process Begins For Over 17,000 Vacancies; Last Date And Other Details

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has invited applications for nearly 17727 vacancies for the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination 2024. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the SSC official website – ssc.gov.in. The application deadline is July 24. The Application correction window will open on August 10 to 11.

SSC CGL is a national-level exam conducted for the recruitment to various Group ‘B’ and ‘C’ posts including Assistant Audit Officer, Assistant Accounts Officer, Inspector (Examiner), Sub Inspector, Assistant Enforcement Officer, Divisional Accountant, Assistant Section Officer, and others.

The candidates will be selected through a two-tier computer-based examination (CBT), followed by document verification. The selection will be based on the aggregate performance in Tier 1 and Tier 2. Tier 1 is qualifying in nature.

The tentative schedule for the tier 1 examination will lie in September – October month and for tier 2 examination will likely held in December 2024. The minimum qualifying marks in the examination are 30 percent for the unreserved category, 25 percent for OBC and EWS candidates, and 20 percent for SC/ST candidates.

The application fee is Rs 100 for the general category. Women, SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-servicemen candidates are exempted from the application fee payment. The age limit varies depending on the posts including 18-30 years, 20-30 years, 18-32 years, and 18-27 years. There is a provision of age relaxation for the candidates belonging to the reserved categories. The educational qualification also varies depending on the post. SSC CGL 2024 Application Process: How to apply

Step 1: Go to the official website of SSC – ssc.gov.in.

Step 2: Register yourself using authentic and functional email ID and phone number.

Step 3: Login using user ID and password received on the email ID provided by the candidate.

Step 4: Fill out the SSC CGL application form carefully.

Step 5: Submit the application fee.

Step 6: Submit the application form and download and print out the form for further use.
