VS Achuthanandan Funeral Details
Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala : The mortal remains of veteran Communist leader and former Kerala Chief Minister Comrade VS Achuthanandan will be transported from AKG Centre to his residence in Thiruvananthapuram tonight, Monday, July 21, 2025, a statement from CPI(M) said.
As per the statement, a public viewing will be held at Durbar Hall from 9:00 AM tomorrow, Tuesday, July 22, 2025. In the afternoon, at 2:00 PM, the cortege will proceed via the National Highway to his home in Alappuzha, where it is expected to arrive in the night.
On Wednesday, July 23, 2025, a final homage will be paid at the Alappuzha District Committee Office at 9:00 AM. Following this, the body will be moved to Alappuzha Recreation Ground for public viewing at 10:00 AM. The cremation is scheduled for 3:00 PM at Valiya Chudukad. A multi-party condolence meeting will be convened thereafter.
