INDIA Alliance MPs Will Decide Prime Minister After Winning Majority: Kharge After Delhi Meeting

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge said the INDIA alliance MPs will decide the Prime Minister after winning majority in 2024 general elections.

After a three hour alliance meeting of 28 parties, INDIA bloc passed a resolution against the suspension of 151 MPs in the Parliament. The resolution condemned the act and called it “undemocratic”.

“Whatever the issue we raised in Parliament was not irrelevant. Our demand is Home Minister or Prime Minister come to the house and tell us about what happened. Session is on and PM was traveling. Why didn’t he come to the house? This is the first incident in the country and we will fight it on the ground,” Congress president said in a press conference after the alliance meeting.
An all India protest will be held across India on December 22, he added.

Concerning seat-sharing, Congress chief said: “We will decide state wise seat distribution. If it is not happen, we will take a call nationally. Punjab and Delhi will be decided ultimately. We Will decide the PM candidate after getting majority. First we have to win. Together we will win. This is our internal issue.”

INDIA Alliance held its fourth meeting at the Ashoka Hotel in the national capital on Tuesday afternoon. The participated members include Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Congress Parliamentary Party Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee, Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar,  RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, AAP supremo and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, DMK chief and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, Samajwadi Party supremo Akhilesh Yadav, and NCP President Sharad Pawar.
