In Shrawasti Lok Sabha Constituency, Ram Shiromani Verma of the Samajwadi Party (SP) retained the seat with a winning margin of 76,673 votes. As he gained a total of 5,11,055 votes, the runner up, BJP’s Saket Misra received 4,34,382 votes.

In 2019 general election, Ram Shiromani Verma contested from the Shrawasti Lok Sabha seat on a BSP ticket and he got elected to the seat after defeating Daddan Mishra, the sitting BJP MP by a margin of 5,320 votes. For the 2024 polls, he switched over to the SP.
Daddan Mishra is a former MP representing the BJP party as he won the 2014 general election from the Shrawasti Lok Sabha constituency. Mishra won the 2007 assembly elections from Bhinga constituency in Shrawasti on a BSP ticket and was inducted in the ministry as the state minister of Medical Education.
