Recent reports emerged from Gujarat’s Navsari that claimed hundreds of Muslims allegedly attacked Hindu families and molested the women and warned them to leave their residence in the Dargah Road area on December 7. Fact checker and Alt News founder Mohammed Zubair busted the fake news and clarified that it was a parking dispute and there was no communal angle.

The journalist stated that contrary to the reports made by right-wing media, OpIndia and others, there were no religious threats or assaults against Hindus, and no anti-Hindu slurs given as claimed by certain reports.

Four people were arrested following the parking dispute.

Following reports adding a communal angle and exaggerating the story, the Superintendent of Navsari took to the social media platform X and appealed to people to refrain from sharing the video with misleading claims on social media.

The police further warned of legal action against those spreading misinformation.
