What Did Owaisi Say On Pakistan And Israel Nominating Trump For Nobel Prize?

The AIMIM Chief and Lok Sabha MP Asaduddin Owaisi has criticised nominating US President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize after Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu handed over the nomination letter to him during the dinner held at the White House on Monday. Owaisi has also targeted Pakistan for the nomination of Trump’s candidature for the Nobel Peace Prize after his mediation in the India-Pakistan conflict.

While writing on the X, Owaisi criticised Pakistani Army Chief Asim Munir and Israeli Prime Minister respectively for perpetuating terrorism in India and committing genocide in Palestine. While calling them the ‘United States of Global Mischief’, the AIMIM chief said, ‘Both are propped up by the USA’.

While presenting the nomination to President Trump, Netanyahu said that President Trump has realised great opportunities and brought the Abraham Accords. He acknowledged the leadership role of Trump in the pursuit of peace and security, and in creating a free and just world, especially in the Middle East.

Trump has reportedly described himself as a ‘peacemaker’ on several occasions while he recounted his role in the India-Pakistan, Rwanda-Congo, and Serbia-Kosovo conflicts.

Earlier in June, Pakistan nominated the US President for the Nobel Peace Prize for brokering Pakistan’s ceasefire with India after the Operation Sindoor. However, it later criticised Trump after the 12-day Israel-Iran conflict.
