Is Smriti Mandhana’s Wedding Cancelled?
Smriti Mandhana’s wedding with music composer Palash Muchhal has become the centre of attention after both families confirmed that the ceremony has been postponed indefinitely.
The confusion grew after Smriti deleted all her pre-wedding posts from Instagram, leading to rumours that the couple had unfollowed each other or even split up.
Palash Muchhal’s mother, Amita Muchhal, revealed that Palash himself wanted to postpone the wedding even before Smriti did. She said Palash is very close to Smriti’s father, Shrinivas Mandhana, who recently fell seriously ill.
Because of this, Palash felt it was not right to go ahead with the wedding until he fully recovered.

“Palash is emotionally attached to his ‘uncle’. They are closer than Palash and Smriti,” she told Hindustan Times. She added that Palash had already decided not to proceed with the wedding rituals until Shrinivas Mandhana gets better.
Amita also shared that the stress took a toll on Palash. After their Haldi ceremony, he became extremely emotional and had to be taken to the hospital.
He was kept under observation for four hours, given an IV drip, ECG, and tests. Though the reports were normal, doctors said his stress levels were very high. The family has now brought him back to Mumbai, where he is resting. His sister, singer Palak Muchhal, has also reached Mumbai to be with him.

Meanwhile, Smriti Mandhana’s sudden removal of pre-wedding posts triggered breakup rumours. However, Smriti and Palash still follow each other on Instagram, confirming that the relationship is intact.
The wedding was originally planned for November 23 in Sangli, but was postponed due to medical emergencies in both families.
Both families have requested privacy as they deal with health concerns. Neither Smriti nor Palash has issued a personal statement yet.
As of now, the wedding is not cancelled, but postponed indefinitely until both families are in a better place emotionally and medically.
