Paris Olympics 2024: Full List Of Events, Date And Time

After the last two Olympics being held behind closed doors with no public spectators due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the French capital has prepared to welcome back crowds with a splash. The Paris Olympics will begin with a spectacular opening ceremony on the iconic River Seine.

The outdoor ceremony is set to be the largest yet, measured by audience and geographical sprawl. With a total of 32 sports crammed into 19 days of action, the schedule of the event is completely jampacked.

This year the Olympic games will run from July 26 to August 11. Some sporting events including football and archery have begun ahead of the opening ceremony.

A total of 10,500 athletes representing 206 countries are competing in this year’s Olympics.

The opening ceremony will be held on Friday, July 26 at Siena. Instead of the familiar images of athletes marching out along an athletics track, dozens of boats will carry athletes across a 6 km route in the river.

The first medals of the game will be awarded a day later and the competition will conclude on 11 August, with the closing ceremony later that evening. And the first medal of the Games will be in shooting- mixed team air rifle.

A new sport has been added to the 33rd Summer Games known as breaking.
