The South Korean phone maker Samsung has unwrapped its affordable model Samsung Galaxy A06 smartphone on Wednesday. The new model comes with an array of features like an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 chipset along with a 6.7-inch HD+ screen. This budget-friendly model carries a pinstriped finish just like the preceding Samsung Galaxy A05. It also features an island bump in the area of the power and volume buttons.

  • The Samsung Galaxy A06 has a 6.7-inch HD+ (720 x 1,600 pixels) PLS LCD screen
  • Powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 SoC
  • Onboard storage up to 128GB and  4GB of RAM
  • Storage can be expanded to 1TB via a microSD card.
  • The new model ships with Android 14-based One UI 6.
  • It has a dual rear camera system
  • 8-megapixel sensor front camera
  • 5,000mAh battery with support for 25W wired fast charging
  • Dual 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port connectivity
  • Side-mounted fingerprint sensor to ensure safety

The price for the new Samsung Galaxy A06 starts at Rs. 9,999 for the 4GB + 64GB option in India. The other variant with 4GB + 128GB  costs Rs. 11,499. The new model will come in three colour variants  Black, Gold, and Light Blue colour and can be purchased through the Samsung India website.

Earlier in July, Samsung launched its premium phones infused with AI in its flagship models and the company is expected to bring AI in its affordable series as well. It was said that  Samsung is all set to unwrap AI in its Galaxy A series.

The company is planning to introduce AI features on its popular ‘A Series’ Samsung Phones as it was used by a larger user base. It also persuades users that they might upgrade to the company’s high-end phones to access the complete benefits of artificial intelligence in Galaxy phones.
