
'Boycott Mahindra': Pro-Palestine Protesters Condemn Mahindra's Role In Gaza Genocide
Students and pro-Palestine activists staged a protest in front of the Mahindra outlet in Delhi, condemning its support for Israel in committing Genocide in Gaza by supplying drones and cybersecurity to Israeli forces. The protest was part of the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement in India. However, the Delhi police later came and removed the protesters.
The pro-Palestine protesters gathered to criticize the ongoing slaughter of more than 60,000 civilians in Gaza and the humanitarian crisis created by Israel. While highlighting the complicity of the Indian government and corporate houses and their support for committing crimes in Gaza, the protesters explicitly condemn the Mahindra Group for its support for Israeli forces. The activists urged people to boycott Mahindra products as part of the BDS movement.

Notably, last year Mahindra Group signed an MoU with Israel’s Sentrycs to develop anti-drone solutions for civilian and military applications. Also, Mahindra partnered with Israel’s REE to make electric vehicles. The company also plans to manufacture a maritime version of Aeronautics ‘ Orbiter 4 drone in India for the Indian Navy.
“We strongly demand that the Indian Government must break all diplomatic ties with the murderous Zionist Israel”, the pro-Palestine supporters asked while condemning the colonial forces in Palestine by calling Zionism a colonial project.

BDS movement in India is a campaign advocating boycott, divestment and imposition of sanctions against Israel until it complies with International law and Palestinian rights. It’s a part of a broader global movement inspired by the anti-apartheid movement in South Africa.
