Iran-US Tension: Trump Says 'In Touch With Iran Leadership' Amid Military Build-Up In West Asia
Tehran, Iran: US President Donald Trump has claimed that he is speaking with the Iranian leadership as Iran prepares for war following US military ‘armada’ approaching West Asia. The development comes amid increased push from regional leaders for diplomacy to avoid another conflict, pushing the region into lingering crises.
Iran has vowed that its attack would not be limited if the US makes any direct military move against the Islamic Republic. Iran has vowed to defend the country, as the US continues to threaten a military attack as huge US military armada continues to position itself near Iran’s waters, led by the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier.

Iran’s top political, military and judicial authorities continue to send messages of defiance, indicating that Iran’s focus is on defence, and not talks. According to Kazem Gharibabadi, a senior member of the Iranian negotiating team, the country’s priority is currently not to negotiate with the US, but to have “200 percent readiness to defend” their country.
Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi will hold high-level talks in Turkiye on Friday, according to Esmaeil Baghaei, the Foreign Ministry’s spokesperson.
