A tough electric SUV based on the Audi Q6 e-tron is hinted at by the off-road prototype. With a massive boost to the suspension, enormous all-terrain tires, and a significant stylistic makeover, the idea was designed to be a go-anywhere version of the normal Q6.
It appears that the Audi Activesphere concept, which was unveiled earlier in 2022, is being developed into the Q6 e-tron off-road configuration. Originally, the concept was a normal SQ6 Sportback e-tron. Utilising four portal axles that were created from the ground up and incorporated into the wheel hub assemblies at the front and rear axles is the concept’s most notable technological feature.
Audi claims that the torque at the wheel is increased by 50% thanks to the portal axles, and that the total torque at all four wheels is an incredible 13,400 Nm. In terms of power production, while in boost mode, it produces 516 horsepower, much as the SQ6 e-tron. A gear set installed on each wheel facilitates the driving. It can climb up to 45-degree grades and has a stated peak speed of 175 kph.
Additionally, this axle design raises the centreline of the axle, which raises the differential and lowers the wheels relative to the axle tubes and differential, which helps provide more ground clearance. There has been a significant 160mm (6.3 inch) increase in ride height and a 250mm (9.8 inch) widening of the track. The Unimog, the Hummer H1, and the Mercedes G-Class 4X4 truck have all had similar portal axle configurations.
Wider fender flares, hefty body cladding, and a sturdy roof rack with LED light bars are all part of the SUV’s appearance. The front bumper is also exclusive to the idea; it has a big bracket with many fog lamps at each corner and a new fake grille section with silver-finished tow hooks.
The Audi Q6 e-tron off-road concept offers remarkable off-road capabilities and power by fusing cutting-edge technology with a tough appearance. It offers a sneak peek at a future electric SUV designed for performance and adventure with improved suspension, portal axles, and improved design elements. This is the best Audi Q6 e-tron EV offroad concept ever revealed.
