Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched GSX-8R at Rs 9.25 lakh. The GSX-8R shares the same platform as the naked GSX-8S and is powered by the same 776 cc parallel-twin engine as the V-Strom 800 DE. The Suzuki sports bike rivals the Triumph Daytona 660, Kawasaki Ninja 650, and the Aprilia RS660.
This bike has already made its debut at the EICMA 2023 and showcased at Bharat Mobility Global EXPO earlier this year. The Suzuki GSX-8R delivers a new standard of sport; one that is ideal for enthusiasts seeking adrenaline rich performance, technology, and rideability. Power and Engine
The GSX-8R has a powerful engine of 776 cc with 2-cylinder liquid-cooled V-twin engine. It has power output of 81.8 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 78 Nm of torque at 6,800 rpm. The engine gets two counter balancers, one at the front and the other at the rear, to remove vibration and offers a smooth riding experience. It is mated to 6-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch. The GSX-8R sits on Dunlop RoadSport 2 radial tyres, which provide extra grip during monsoon. It gets twin 310mm front disc brakes along with a 240 mm rear brake and is equipped with Showa SFF-BP inverted front forks and a mono-shock link-type rear suspension with adjustable spring preload.
Feature rich Suzuki GSX-8R
The GSX-R8 has sharp design with a pointed nose that contains a pair of hexagonal LED headlights. The bike gets a 5-inch colour TFT LCD multifunction instrument panel that reads out all the bike’s systems and real-time status information and is customizable. It has three riding modes to choose from where A mode is the most responsive with traction control modes. To responsive acceleration and quick-shift gears, the GSX-8R comes with Ride-by-wire tech and Bi-directional Quick Shift System.
