Suzuki’s 776cc parallel-twin engine platform has so far produced the V-Strom 800 adventure bike, the GSX-8S naked, and the GSX-8R sportbike.

This platform will expand to include two additional models in 2026, the GSX-8T and the GSX-8TT, which may be unveiled in person at this year’s EICMA event, two years after the GSX-8R made its debut at the renowned trade show.

Since the titles of the GSX-8T and GSX-8TT are nearly the same as those of the 8S sporty naked and 8R sportbike, it is expected that these models will be road-biased, even though precise information about them is currently unknown.

Additionally, these new GSX-8T models are probably going to fall into the “tall-rounder” category because the V-Strom 800 range has two models: one with a 19/17-inch alloy wheel setup and the other with a 21/17-inch wire-spoke wheel setup.

This basically means that the GSX-8T models will probably have upright ergonomics similar to those of an adventure touring model, but they will probably have 17-inch wheels on both ends.

The Suzuki GSX-8T will join an increasing number of tall-rounder middleweight models that are available in international markets. These models include the Triumph Tiger Sport 660, BMW F 900 XR, and Yamaha Tracer 7, all of which have achieved success due to their long-distance capability, all-day comfort, and reasonable prices.

According to this certification document, the 776cc twin-cylinder engine will continue to produce the same 82 horsepower and 78 Nm as the GSX-8R, with minor gearing and mapping adjustments probably made to accommodate the GSX-8T models’ distinct intended uses. Regarding the titles 8T and 8TT, it appears that the former will be the base model, while the latter will probably be a higher-spec variant with more amenities and extra luggage attachments.

In Suzuki’s lineup, the GSX-8T models will sit beneath the GSX-S1000GX litre-class tourer, and they may have some visual similarities to both that bike and its middleweight equivalents.
