2025 Discovery Sport Updated, Renamed With New Variants And More Features
The 2025 model year upgrade for the Land Rover Discovery Sport includes a revised variation lineup, additional equipment, and redesigned style. Despite the Discovery Sport’s 2014 launch, Land Rover has consistently updated the midsize luxury SUV to stay competitive with rivals such as the Volvo XC60, Mercedes-Benz GLC, Audi Q5, and BMW X3.
The Dynamic SE trim of the Discovery Sport, which is presently offered for sale in India, has been replaced with the Landmark trim, which Land Rover previously utilized for a 2019 special edition of the Discovery Sport. Land Rover also offers the Discovery Sport in the top-of-the-line Dynamic HSE and base S trim levels, which are now known as Metropolitan and Dynamic S, respectively, on a global scale.

Puddle lights are modeled after the original 1989 Land Rover Discovery and roof rails, as well as a mountain range insignia on the skid plates, are exterior features of the Discovery Sport Landmark trim. The opulent Metropolitan specification has 20-inch alloy wheels with an available gloss-black finish, as well as silver-finished grille, skid plates, and “Discovery” bonnet branding. Finally, the base Dynamic S specification has sportier design elements, including gloss black finish on the grille, wheel arches, side cladding, bumpers, and bonnet branding.
All Discovery Sport models now come equipped with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard, a 11.4-inch curved Pivi Pro infotainment touchscreen, steering-mounted paddle shifters, and a digital driver’s display, after the 2025 model year upgrade.

The Metropolitan trim adds Windsor leather upholstery, 14-way heated and cooled front seats, a 14-speaker 650W Meridian sound system, digital IRVM, and cabin air purifier, while the Discovery Sport Landmark trim adds a panoramic glass roof, sliding and reclining second-row seats, rear occupant device holders, and a 360-degree camera.
The new Discovery Sport is still not available for purchase in India, and no specific date has been set. However, as Land Rover assembles the Discovery Sport in India, the updated vehicle will probably arrive here in a comparable role. We anticipate that the new Discovery Sport would fetch a higher price than the present model, which retails for Rs 67.9 lakh in India.
