It has finally been made public that the Boreal will be formally unveiled by Renault soon.
As the French automaker looks to get out of a difficult phase it has been going through for a while, Renault is putting a lot of money on the upcoming third-generation Duster and its seven-seat brother. Based on the Dacia Bigster concept, which debuted in 2021, it was reported more than a month ago that Renault would call the seven-seater Duster “Boreal.”
It has finally been made public that the Boreal will be formally unveiled by Renault soon. Placaverde shared the same information on Instagram along with several spy photos of the impending seven-seat SUV. According to reports, the most recent spy photos were taken in Brazil.

According to this, the Renault Boreal is probably going to launch in LATAM (Latin America) markets first, then Europe and other nations. Several times recently, the seven-seat Duster has been spotted undergoing testing. Similar to earlier surveillance photos, the most recent ones feature a Boreal test mule fully camouflaged, this time parked inside a Brazilian refuelling station.
The Renault Boreal, which is based on the CMF-B platform, is influenced by both the Bigster concept, which was initially presented in 2021, and its smaller brother. Recent photos show a carefully camouflaged SUV with a striking split headlamp arrangement and Renault’s trademark horizontal slat front grille. A slim LED DRL strip enters the grille’s upper part, which might be finished in chrome. The wide, all-black mesh grille on the front bumper gives it a strong appearance.
With prominent wheel arches and sculpted body panels that probably have powerful character lines for increased road presence, the Boreal exhibits a strong posture when viewed in profile. A high-end touch is added by the chrome highlights on the window sills of the front door. Notably, the rear door handles have a cleaner appearance because they are integrated into the C-pillar. Despite being partially obscured, the third-row windows seem to be quite large, indicating that the backseat passengers would have a light and spacious cabin. The SUV’s stylish roof spoiler and sturdy, maybe motorized hatch at the back highlight its tough appearance.
The Renault Boreal’s interior has not yet been made public. It is realistic to anticipate a cabin arrangement that is similar to that of its five-seat sister, nevertheless, considering its strong ties to the Duster. In order to give the inside a dash of contemporary flair, the Boreal is probably going to have a dynamic 3-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel and hexagonal air vents with striking Y-shaped embellishments

Similar to its five-seater sibling, the Renault Boreal will be available with a variety of engine options worldwide. These consist of a 1.2-litre turbocharged gasoline engine and a 1.6-litre gasoline hybrid powertrain. Additionally, Renault has stated that it intends to launch a potent hybrid drivetrain for the Indian market, which is anticipated to be offered on the Duster and the Boreal.
Depending on the market, the Boreal will be available with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, just like the Duster. For further adaptability, both models will have numerous terrain settings, including Auto, Snow, Mud/Sand, Off-Road, and Eco. By late 2026 or early 2027, the Boreal is anticipated to make its debut in India.
