Brazilian forward Neymar Announces Official Retirement From International Football
Brazil’s leading scorer Neymar has officially announced his retirement from international football, conforming the rumours. Leaving the fans in pain, the 34-year-old Brazilian player has ended his eventful career that spanned more than 16 years with the national team.
The skillful forward player made his final appearance in the Round of 16 of the 2026 FIFA world cup, in which the team suffered defeat to Norway. Neymar had joined the match during the final minutes.

After a recent match in the Copa Sudamericana, the player said his time with the national team is over. “I made history, I was very happy, I gave my blood, my life, I always fought for the yellow jersey, but now I don’t want to anymore,” the legendary player announced.
The player would continue playing for his club Santos. During the recent match, Santos made a 4-2 win over Venezuela’s Universidad Central in the Copa Sudamericana.
