VinFast VF 7, VF 9 To Showcase The Two e-SUVs At Auto Expo 2025

VinFast, a Vietnamese EV manufacturer, has formally declared that it would be attending the next Auto Expo 2025. The VF 7 and VF 9 are two e-SUVs that will be on display at India’s biggest auto show, according to a teaser that the brand put out. To find out what to anticipate from the VinFast VF 7 and VF 9, continue reading. The VF 7, a five-seat e-SUV the size of a Hyundai Tucson, with an almost swoopy, crossover-like design and light units at the front and back that create VinFast’s V patterns. There are two trim levels offered in international markets: Eco and Plus. Although a 75.3kWh (net) battery pack powers both, the Eco has a single front motor that produces 204 horsepower and 310 Nm of torque, while the Plus has two motors.

According to VinFast, the VF 7 Eco’s WLTP-rated range is 450 km, while the Plus’s is 431 km. Other variations between the two trims include the size of the infotainment touchscreen, which is 12.9 inches for the Eco and 15 inches for the Plus, and the alloy wheels, which are 19 inches for the Eco and 20 or 21 inches for the Plus. However, both are equipped with a Level 2 ADAS suite as default.

The VF 9, the biggest e-SUV in VinFast’s lineup overseas, is a three-row SUV that can accommodate six or seven people and is larger than the Audi Q7 altogether. Both the Eco and Plus models share a 123kWh battery pack with a dual-motor AWD system that produces 408 horsepower and 620 Nm of torque, as well as a stated WLTP range of up to 531 km. VinFast says that the Eco model, which weighs 2,911 kg and is only available in 7-seat format, can reach 100 kph in 6.6 seconds, while the Plus model, which weighs 2,959–2,968 kg at the curb, can reach 100 kph in 6.7 seconds, depending on whether it is specified in a 6-seat or 7-seat configuration.

In addition to roof rails and larger 21-inch alloy wheels (the Eco gets 20-inch ones), the Plus version has features like a panoramic sunroof, 13 speakers with a subwoofer, an 8-inch rear infotainment screen, powered, heated, and ventilated first and second row seats with a massage function, and auto-dimming outside rearview mirrors.  Last February, VinFast started building its Tamil Nadu facility, and in January, it named Zac Hollis, a former director of Skoda India, as its Asia head. Stay tuned for further information on VinFast’s plans for our market and the models for India, which will be unveiled in the upcoming week.
