Zudio, the affordable fashion brand under the Tata umbrella, has taken the retail world by storm, surpassing its sister brand Westside in store count. Aditya Kondawar, Partner and Vice President at Complete Circle, highlighted Zudio’s meteoric rise, noting that it has expanded at an extraordinary pace.
In Q1FY21, Westside had 163 stores while Zudio operated only 80. Fast forward to today, Zudio boasts an impressive 559 stores, while Westside lags behind with just 228. Over the last 16 quarters, Zudio opened 470 stores, averaging one new outlet every three days, compared to Westside’s 148.
Kondawar shared these insights, supported by a Kotak Institutional Equities report, which highlights the stark difference in growth trajectories between the two brands.
