CBSE Class 12 Chemistry Paper NCERT-Based With Few Moderate Questions, Says Expert

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) organised the Class 12 Chemistry examination for the Science stream students today. According to an expert, the Chemistry Class 12 CBSE paper today was NCERT based with few moderate questions. The expert, Suman Sapra, Head of Department-Chemistry, Army Public School, Delhi Cantt, also added the paper was student-friendly, though application based.

Here is what Ms Sapra told Timeline:

“The Chemistry Class 12 CBSE paper today is NCERT based with few moderate questions. It is student friendly though application based. However, scoring full marks will still be challenging as few questions require a thorough in-depth reading of NCERT text book. None of the questions were out of NCERT. Overall it is a well-balanced paper.”

Timeline also reached out to Neetu Singh, HOD Science, Indirapuram Public School, Pratap Vihar, Ghaziabad. Ms Neetus also expressed her views regarding Class 12 Chemistry examination. She also said that questions were asked from the Syllabus and the level of exam was moderately tough.

As per her analysis, “Chemistry paper was well balanced. From students point of view it was moderately difficult with few straight questions and no question in paper was out of syllabus.”

According to students review the paper was little lengthy, and some tricky equation based question were time consuming.

Students who practiced sample papers were able to finish the exam completely on time and showed satisfaction towards the examination.
