CUET UG Exam Centres Allotment Causes Panic Among Candidates
CUET UG 2026 exams are starting next week, from May 11 to May 31, for various subjects for admission into higher studies. Nearly 14 lakh candidates have registered for the exam in 2026. The exam city centre slips have been issued to the candidates, but the distance from the exam centres has caused panic among the students. Students have raised their concerns in many ways, including online by tagging NTA and the Ministry of Education to be heard in the matter.
Reportedly, many candidates who live in Delhi have been allotted Agra or Jaipur as the test centres. Several other candidates were allotted centres more than 250-300 kms. Even some of the candidates living in Delhi have been allotted a centre in Bihar. Some students have even expressed an inability to reach their centres for the exam.

Respected Sir /Ma’am
I state that I have allotted my centre 300 KM far from my home district in CUET UG 2026 examination.
So kindly request you to change my exam city and try to provide home district.— Siddharth Singh (@SiddharthS34924) May 4, 2026

Sincerely, the cost of travel in addition to the already spent on registration will deter several candidates to opt for the exam and may leave many candidates out of the education cycle.
