Ekansh Dhull, the son of Haryana BJP leader Krishan Dhull, has secured All India Rank 3 in the 2025 Civil Services Examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission.

The results, announced on Friday afternoon, triggered celebrations in Panchkula and across Haryana, as family members, friends and supporters gathered to congratulate the young achiever.

The 25-year-old’s success is particularly notable because it marks his third consecutive selection in the prestigious examination, one of the toughest competitive exams in the country.

The 2025 civil services examination was topped by Anuj Agnihotri, while Dhull’s impressive performance placed him among the top three candidates nationwide.

Ekansh Dhull’s path to the top ranks of the civil services has been defined by perseverance and consistent hard work.

He had earlier cleared the exam twice, securing All India Rank 342 in 2023 and Rank 295 in 2024. Determined to improve his performance, he continued his preparation with renewed focus and finally achieved an extraordinary leap to Rank 3 in 2025.

His achievement highlights the value of persistence in the highly competitive UPSC examination process, where many aspirants spend years striving to reach the top ranks.

Ekansh completed his schooling in Chandigarh. He studied at Bhavan Vidyalaya, where he completed his Class 10, and later passed his Class 12 from St. Kabir Public School.

After finishing school, he moved to New Delhi to pursue higher education. He earned a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree from Shri Ram College of Commerce, one of the country’s most prestigious institutions.

It was during his time in Delhi that Ekansh began seriously preparing for the civil services examination, dedicating several years to the demanding process.

Ekansh comes from a family closely associated with public service and education.

His father, Krishan Dhull, is a senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Haryana. Apart from his political role, he has also served as the former general secretary of the Haryana State Child Welfare Committee. He currently works as a BJP spokesperson and is also the president of the Haryana Archery Association.

Ekansh’s mother, Nirmal Dhull, is the principal of the Government Senior Secondary School in Sector 19, Panchkula.
