The placement season in higher academic institutes is underway, and respective institutes are publishing their performance in securing job offers for their students. IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, and several other IITs are giving out numbers on their official websites. The analysis of these offers shows that 100% of placements are secured by students from national and international recruiters.
IIT Delhi
IIT Delhi students have secured over 1200 job offers, including pre-placement offers (PPOs), with about 1150 individual students being uniquely selected. The placement season for the academic year 2024–25 is currently ongoing.

Recruiters with double digit offers on campus this year so far include American Express, Barclays, BCG, BlueStone Jewellery & Lifestyle Private Limited, Deutsche India Pvt Ltd, Goldman Sachs, Google, Graviton Research Capital, Intel India, Meesho, Micron Technology, Microsoft, OLA, Oracle, PayU, Quadeye, Qualcomm, Robust Results Private Limited, Shiprocket, Squarepoint Capital, Texas Instruments, Trident Group, and Turing Global India Pvt. Ltd.
In this phase, students have also received 50+ international offers from 15+ prestigious organizations across multiple global regions, including Japan, Netherlands, South Korea, Taiwan, UAE, United Kingdom, and United States.
IIT Kanpur
The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) has concluded Phase-1 of its 2024-25 placement season on a remarkable note. Conducted from 1 to 15 December, the session witnessed a total of 1,109 job offers, of which 1,035 were accepted by students.
These include both campus placements and Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs), underscoring the outstanding calibre of IIT Kanpur’s graduating class.
A key highlight of this phase was the 28 international offers secured by students, marking a 27% rise compared to the previous year. This growth reflects the increasing global demand for IIT Kanpur’s talent pool. Core industries witnessed a notable surge in placements, driven by heightened interest among students.
The placement session saw participation from over 250 companies across a diverse range of sectors. Top recruiters included global giants such as Microsoft, Google, Oracle, Qualcomm, Intel, and Texas Instruments, alongside prominent domestic firms like Reliance, NPCI, and Meesho.
Other key names included Deutsche Bank, American Express, FedEx, SLB, Meril Life, and Cars24, showcasing the broad appeal of IIT Kanpur’s graduates.

IIT Bombay
The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) commenced its Phase-I placement session with an impressive start, receiving 579 offers by the end of Day 1. With 523 students being offered positions through a combination of campus placements and Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs), the numbers highlight the excellent quality of education at IITK where students are equipped with industry-ready skills preferred by leading companies worldwide.
Among these, 199 students stood out by accepting PPOs from leading national and international firms. Adding to the institute’s global reputation, 13 students received prestigious international job offers, highlighting the global demand for IIT Kanpur’s exceptional talent.
The first day witnessed enthusiastic participation from 74 esteemed organizations. Industry leaders such as Microsoft, Texas Instruments, Databricks, Google, American Express, SLB, and Deutsche Bank have emerged as the top recruiters, highlighting the exceptional quality of IIT Kanpur’s talent pool.
IIT Kharagpur
Reportedly, in the first phase of the 2024-25, IIT Kharagpur crossed the milestone of 1,000 job offers. Leading companies including high frequency trading, software, analytics, finance, banking and consulting firms extended lucrative roles to IIT Kharagpur students.
The campus also witnessed a handful of core engineering companies in the early phase of placement. Also nearly 20 international offers are also received by the students.
