JNUSU 2025 Results Today: Unity Left Leads On Major Posts; ABVP On General Secretary

Jawaharlal Nehru University Students’ Union (JNUSU) elections 2025 counting is underway, with results being declared today. The total vote turnout remained at 67 percent out of the 9,043 students eligible to vote.

The elections were held on November 4 for the central panel’s four key posts—president, vice president, general secretary, and joint secretary—contested by candidates from Left Unity, ABVP, NSUI, BAPSA, and other student groups.

Earlier Trends

Left Unity candidates Aditi Mishra, Kizhakoot Gopika Babu,  and Danish Ali are currently leading in their respective races.

Aditi Mishra from Unity Left is leading with 1,375 votes, while Vikas Patel of ABVP follows with 1,192 votes. Vikas of NSUI secured 341 votes, while Angad Singh of IND and Raj Ratan Rajouria (BAPSA) have 136 and 180 votes, respectively.

ABVP Rajeshwar Kant Dubey leads in the general secretary posts with 1,496 votes, while Sunil Yadav of Left follows at 1,367 votes and Shuaib Khan (BAPSA) with 592 votes, Preeti (NSUI) with 361 votes, and Gopi Krishnan U (AISF) with 196 votes.

Shinde Vijaylakshmi (PSA) has received 915 votes in the presidential contest.

While K. Gopika is leading the Vice President post with high number of votes 2,146 votes.

NOTA and BLANK votes have been counted across both categories reflecting an active turnout.
