The National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT) is offering free online mathematics courses accessible through the “SWAYAM (Study Webs of Active-Learning for Young Aspiring Minds)” portal and mobile app. Interested students may visit NCERT’s official website for registration and to access the online course.

The course will help to acquire knowledge of mathematical concepts through practical education of numbers, equations, and geometric diagrams. It will deal with the concepts from class 12th mathematics including certain Relations and Functions, Inverse Trigonometric Functions, Matrices, Determinants, Continuity and Differentiability, and Applications of Derivatives.

The entire course is divided into week-wise schedule. This will be a 24-week programme with 6 Assignments which comprise 23 Modules. The course includes e-text, video tutorials, self-assessment questions for practice, and weblinks to help in extra study for learning. Examination registration ends on March 27, 2024, and the tentative exam date is March 28th.

Mentioning that NCERT has been designated as the National Coordinator for the development and dissemination of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) to cater to the educational needs of classes 9th to 12th. The online courses can be accessed via the SWAYAM portal.

SWAYAM tries to bring digital revolution by bringing educational inclusion for the underserved. The courses provided under MOOCs are interactive and curated by the most esteemed educators. All the available courses are free of cost and aim to enrich the student”s learning experience.

For class 12 students MOOCs include Biology Part I, Business Studies, Chemistry, Economics, English, Geography, Mathematics, Physics, Psychology, and Sociology. To get more information about the subjects and schedule, students can visit the official website.
