NCERT Teacher Education Programmes Application Process Is Underway, Know More Details

The National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT), New Delhi is receiving applications for various Teacher Education Programmes by May 31, 2024. The application process for various programmes started on April 30, 2024.

The courses includes a four-year BSc-B.Ed and BA-B.Ed, a two-year B.Ed, and a three-year B.Ed-M.Ed and a two-year M.Ed course. The common entrance examination for admission to these courses will be conducted on June 16, 2024. The result will be announced on July 7, 2024. The teacher education programmes will be conducted at NCERT”s regional centers at Ajmer, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Mysuru, and Shillong.

Once the application process is completed, the admit cards will be issued which can be downloaded from the NCERT“s official website.

The test will comprise of 80 questions including 20 questions on language proficiency, 30 on teaching aptitude, and 30 on reasoning ability. Each question will carry 2 marks and 1/4th mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

The merit list will be prepared by giving 60% weightage to the entrance examination and 40% to aggregate scores for B.Sc.B.Ed./B.A.B.Ed./M.Sc.Ed./B.Ed./B.Ed.M.Ed (Integrated)/M.Ed exam marks.

Candidates must have +2/ Hr. Secondary/ Sr. Secondary or equivalent examination passed in Science and Commerce streams or Arts streams with at least 50% marks in aggregate (relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates) to get admission to the programmes.

Step 1: Go to the NCERT official website – cee.ncert.gov.in

Step 2: Click on the Login option given on the screen

Step 3: Click on the new user link for the first time registration.

Step 4: Fill up the registration form and upload documents

Step 5: Pay the application fee and submit the form

Step 6: Download the application form and save/print out for further use.
