'No Torn OMR Answer Sheet Was Sent By Offical NTA ID': NTA Issues Clarification Over The Viral Video Of An Aspirant

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a clarification over a viral video of Ms. Ayushi Patel, a NEET aspirant, who claimed discrepancies and a scam in the NEET UG – 2024 result.

Ayushi Patel, a Lucknow resident allegedly said to face a Scam in the NEET 2024 via a viral video. NEET aspirant said that she was expecting an NTA score of 715 out of 720 and was disappointed when her exam result was not generated on the result date on June 4, 2024. Ayushi received the NTA’s email nearly one hour later reading, “Your result can not be generated as NTA received the OMR as torn and damaged”.

Later Ayushi contacted NTA via email and requested the agency for her OMR. Responding to the plea of the NEET aspirant, NTA sent images to Ayushi showing the torn OMR via email.

In response to the viral video, NTA has furnished a clarification and rejected the claim made by Ayushi Patel. The testing agency refuted sending any email to the candidate via the official NTA ID. The NTA said, “No torn OMR Answer sheet was sent an official NTA ID. OMR Answer Sheet is intact and Scores are accurate as per official records. Candidate should download scorecards only from the official website”.

Reportedly, since the NEET UG – 2024 result was announced many new developments of alleged discrepancies in the exam and result processing are resurfacing. A committee has also been established to go into the allegations and the Supreme Court has also demanded a response from the National Testing Agency.
