Placement Season Begins at IIT Delhi- Students Receive 480 Job Offers By the End of December 1

New Delhi: The placement season at Indian Institute fo Technology Delhi or IIT Delhi for the academic year 2023-24 has commenced from December 1, 2023,which will go on till May 2024 for full time hiring of undergraduate and postgraduate students by the recruiting organizations.

According to a statement from the prestigious institute, registrations for hiring students have been received from 360+ national and international organizations offering 660+job profiles across multiple sectors as of now and IIT Delhi students bagged around 480 full-time job offers (including pre-placement offers) with around 450 unique selections by the end of December 1. Many students have also bagged multiple job offers.

Speaking about the placement season, Prof. R. Ayothiraman, Professor Incharge, Office of Career Services, said, The Office of Career Services at IIT Delhi is working to maximize placement of the students who avail our services. We have a healthy mix and line up of companies across sectors to cater to the varied needs and aspirations of our student body.

Top recruiters on the campus on Day 1 in terms of the number of students offered include Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, and Texas Instruments.

Around 25 students have received international job offers from geographies spanning Hong Kong, Japan, Netherlands, Singapore, South Korea, United Kingdom, and United States.

The placement season serves as a pivotal juncture where the brightest minds from IIT Delhi engage with the national and international organizations. This year, the hiring processes are being conducted in both physical and virtual modes depending on the recruiter’s convenience.
