Supreme Court Advocate Writes A Letter To UGC Over Delayed UGC NET Result

The UGC NET June 2024 Exam result is still not out and students are worried over the result announcement delay. To bring their concerns to notice Ujjawal Gaur, a Supreme Court Advocate, has written a letter to the authorities urging them to release the results without further delay.

Advocate Gaur in the letter addressed to the Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and National Testing Agency (NTA) has mentioned the distress faced by the students due to the prolonged delay in the declaration of results. Through the letter, he also indicated the possibility of pursuing judicial intervention to ensure justice for students.

Ujjawal Gaur, a member of both the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) and Delhi High Court Bar Association (DHCBA) voiced his support over the UGC NET result delay. Sharing a post on social media platform X, he wrote about the letter addressed to UGC concerning the difficulties faced by the students and possible judicial intervention to pursue justice for the students.

The Supreme Court advocate highlighted that how the delay in the exam result violates students efforts and their fundamental rights under Article 14 and 19 of the Indian Constitution. He underscores the importance of immediate action to restore students faith in the system by releasing the result promptly.

The UGC NET exam is conducted to determine the eligibility for assistant professors in universities and colleges in India and in awarding JRF to the students.

NTA has released the provisional answer keys for the UGC NET June exams conducted from August 21 to September 4, 2024.
