The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) examination date. The CTET exam will be conducted on December 1, 2024. The application window will continue until October 16, 2024. Interested and eligible candidates can register at the official website—ctet.nic.in.

According to official information, the CTET December 2024 exam will be held in 136 cities across the country. The CTET exam contains two papers: paper 1 to ensure eligibility for classes 1 to 5 and paper 2 for classes 6 to 8. The CTET test is comprised of 150 MCQs and each question carries 1 mark. There is no negative marking in the examination.

The application fee for the General and OBC category candidates is Rs 1,000 and Rs 1,200 for paper 1 and paper 2 respectively. The registration fee for SC, ST, and differently-abled candidates is Rs 500 for one paper and Rs 600 for both papers.

The CTET 2024 qualification certificate remains valid for life for all the categories. There is no limit on the number of attempts a person uses to qualify the CTET examination. However, those who qualify the test can retake the exam to improve their marks.

Step 1: Go to the official website – ctet.nic.in.

Step 2: Click on the link given on the homepage ‘Apply for CTET December 2024’

Step 3: Click on the new registration

Step 4: Register using user id and password

Step 5: Fill the application form

Step 6: Submit the examination fee and upload the required documents

Step 7: Submit the application form and download/print out for further reference
