CBSE Starts Registrations For Class 10th And 12th Private Students

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has invited online submission of registration forms for class 10th and 12th private students for the 2025 board exams to be held in February/March/April. Students can apply via the CBSE official website – cbse.gov.in for registration. All forms and fees will be accepted in an online mode and no application shall be accepted in offline mode.

The online submission will start on September 18, 2024, and will go till October 16, 2024. The form can be submitted with a late fee till October 20, 2024.

The examination fee for 5 subjects is Rs 1500 for Indian students (300 per subject), Rs 5000 for Nepal students (1000 per subject), and Rs 10,000 for other countries students (2000 per subject). While the practical fee is Rs 150 for each practical for Indian and Nepal students and Rs 350 for other countries students.

The students under the following categories of private students will appear for the exam:

  • Students of the 2023-24 session who were declared ‘essential repeat’ in the 2024 board result.
  • Students who were placed in compartments in the 2024 board exams and and not declared pass in the 1st chance.
  • Students who were placed in compartments in the 2024 board exams and and not declared to pass in the 1st chance compartment exam.
  • Students who declared fail/essential repeat in 2019,2020,2021,2022 and 2023.
  • Students who wish to improve their marks in one or two subjects.
  • Passed out students of 2023 and 2024 who wish to appear for additional subjects.

The examination of these categories of students will be conducted based on the syllabus available on the website – cbseacademic.nic.in. Also students need to fill the city choice carefully while filling the online form as the examination centre once alloted will not be changed. CBSE will issue new roll numbers to the students to appear in 2025.
