'Tum Kawar Lene Mat Jana,..': FIR Against Bareli Teacher For Reciting Poem In School Campus

Rajneesh Gangwar, a teacher of Bareli, Uttar Pradesh, has been booked for reciting a poem to his students on the school campus. The video of the teacher has gone viral on social media. The Bareli school teacher can be heard saying, ‘Tum Kawar Lene mat Jana, Tum Gyan Ke Deep Jalana (Don’t go to take Kawar (Hindu pilgrimage, you lit up the lamp of knowledge).

In the entire poem, the teacher encourages his students to become officers after gaining knowledge and serve humanity instead of going on a pilgrimage and engaging in intoxication.

The recitation of the poem has created trouble for the Bareli teacher after an FIR was filed against him for hurting the religious sentiments.

Rajneesh Gangwar clarified that his poem is not to hurt any religious sentiments, but rather to encourage small kids to get an education instead of going for pilgrimages at such a small age. “The whole idea was to protect children and to encourage them to do good in their lives”, he said.

While criticizing those who filed a complaint against him, he asked to register a police report against OP Rajbhar, who condemned Kanwariyas. In the end he said, “लड़ना है तो ढूंढ बराबर का आदमी। (If you want to fight then find a person of equal stature, Why you trouble a poor).
